Refreshingly Different, Reassuringly Riviera Australians love the great outdoors. We open our hearts and homes to light and space, we love big skies, wide horizons and cool breezes … and it is only appropriate that Australia’s Riviera should create a vessel that captures this spirit so elegantly. The 58 Open Flybridge is a boat for the playful, for those with a zest for life and a love of fishing or entertaining, yet it is also a boat for the most discriminating and experienced boating enthusiast. It is often said that success builds on success and this is certainly true with the 58 Open. It follows in the wake of numerous other models that have won international acclaim and a loyal following the world over. And in addition to being the result of decades of experience, the 58 benefits from our huge inhouse design and manufacturing resources. This is a ‘new generation’ Riviera, a boat that incorporates many major technological advances. The new 58 was designed using the latest Computer Aided Design software — software that guides the cutting of the plug that ultimately produces a mould and thereafter the most precise hull, deck and flybridge components. Then there is the running surface of the hull designed by international superyacht naval architect Frank Mulder. This design features propeller tunnels designed to deliver more powerful forward thrust, improved fuel efficiency and a smoother, steadier ride. The larger propeller shafts and precision-engineered propellers also contribute to the quality of the ride. The underwater exhausts deliver cleaner, quieter performance. And behind it all there is our legendary handlaid fibreglass hull with separate compartments throughout the hull, extra transverse stiffeners and a watertight collision bulkhead in the bow. Despite that fresh, exuberant spirit, the 58 Open is a boat built for extended, serious, blue-water fishing or cruising and one that is certainly up to the challenge of tackling the often harsh conditions of the world’s oceans. After all, it is a Riviera. A Flybridge Like No Other
The new 58 represents Riviera’s latest thinking in sport fishing. After consultation with leading skippers and game fishermen internationally, Riviera has created the flybridge helm design and cockpit layout with one purpose in mind. Serious sport fishing. The huge cockpit is a clean space with large fridge, insulated icebox, large storage bins and optional live-bait tank. But it is the helm that is sure to capture your imagination. The design is so sleek, so modern and delivers an awesome sense of control and exhilaration. Situated on a raised platform and featuring twin Pompanette Platinum helm chairs, you couldn’t be in a more comfortable or commanding position. The electrically operated console opens to reveal electronic equipment and accommodates up to three 15” displays. The flybridge is likely to be the number one spot for family and friends to get together whilst underway. For a start, it is huge, very comfortable … and just so bright and open. Under the protection of the low-profile hardtop, you can relax on the day bed or the U-shaped five seater lounge — and the table not only folds from half to full size, it is mounted on a high-low pedestal to convert the lounge into a giant sun bed. For your entertaining pleasure, there’s a well-equipped wet-bar complete with moulded sink, stainless-steel drink holders and below-bench fridge. There’s masses of storage space too. The smooth, uncluttered foredeck is also a wonderful area for you and your party to relax and soak up the sun … and thanks to the size of the deck, there’s plenty of room for a tender and davit as well. A Fresh Aproch to Interior Design
Painstaking attention to detail has helped us create a living area of outstanding comfort, elegance and functionality. The softness of the leather and attention to detail on the massive L-shaped lounge and dining area seating are very Riviera. Considerable attention has gone into making life more comfortable with subtle details such as the recessed grab rail that runs the length of the saloon and the discreet overhead rod storage. Large side windows and a huge aft window next to the saloon door provide superior visability and create a light, fresh ambience during the day while sophisticated lighting and modern blinds enhance a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere in the evening. Then there are the many thoughtful inclusions: at the touch of a button a retractable 40” flat-screen television appears, and thanks to the Bose lifestyle system it sounds as good as it looks. There’s a fridge/ icemaker combo in the wet-bar and plenty of storage for bottles and glasses. There have been no compromises in the galley either. This is a boat built for those with a passion for the best in life and we want you to be able to cater in style to large groups and enjoy every possible comfort on extended passages. Features include two belowbench fridge drawers, a top-load freezer, convection microwave, three-burner cooktop, optional dishwasher and trash compactor, large, solid-surface benchtops and stylish yet extremely practical Amtico flooring. The galley is located on the same level as the saloon, which makes it very accessible to the saloon and the cockpit. It has the added benefit of keeping the chef involved with the party. Everything on board the Riviera 58 has been designed to create an environment that inspires fun, relaxation and good times. Have A Great Night
You will sleep easily because the impeccable care, attention to detail and quality found above decks is below too. Take the finish of the timberwork: its stunning, mirror-like quality is the result of Riviera's new robotic varnishing technology – the most advanced in Australia. We make every effort to cater to your unique taste and thus we offer a choice of teak or cherrywood in a gloss or satin finish. It is the extensive use of timber that contributes to the overall warm and relaxed feel of the sleeping quarters. The master stateroom is delightfully spacious and inviting. It offers a wonderfully comfortable walkaround queen-size bed with its quality inner-spring mattress. The hanging and cupboard space is especially generous, and the cedar lining ensures that clothes always have a fresh feeling. With a 19” LCD TV and DVD/CD player combo, this stateroom also serves as a comfortable retreat when you feel like some quiet time. The same could be said of the guest stateroom as it features similar inclusions and comfort. In this cabin there is an option to replace the island bed with tournament bunks. This cabin includes a full-height rod storage locker with the tournament configuration. Both staterooms have their own bathroom. These are the most modern of en suites featuring semi-recessed porcelain hand basins, contemporary solid-surface benchtops and premium-brand mixer taps and chrome showerheads. The third cabin features two single Pullman berths. For your comfort and privacy, there’s a third bathroom to serve the port cabin and for general day use. Finally, there is an optional, thoughtfully concealed laundry with a top-brand washer-dryer in the day head. No matter where you look, you can see that a party of six can embark on a substantial game fishing safari or extended passage with nothing other than total comfort and indulgence to look forward to. If you are ready to improve the standard of your boating life, few vessels exceed the standards set by the Riviera 58 Open Flybridge. |
